Degradation of Nonylphenol Ethoxylate-10 (NPE-10) by Mediated Electrochemical Oxidation (MEO) Technology

Nonylphenol ethoxylate (NPE-10) is a non-ionic surfactant that synthesized from alkylphenol ethoxylate. The accumulation of NPE-10 in wastewater will endanger the ecosystem as well human being. Nowadays, can be degraded indirectly by using an electrochemical treatment advancement technology. Thus, this study aimed to evaluate electro-degradation potential MEO Ce(IV) ionic mediator. In addition, influence Ag(I) catalyst performance for degradation was also observed. potency technology evaluated voltammetry technique and confirmed titrimetry LC-MS analysis. results showed absence catalyst, 85.93%. Furthermore, when applied, improved 95.12%. back titration Ba(OH)2 formation CO2 46.79%, whereas redox shows total organic compounds 42.50%. It emphasized two new peaks chromatogram. summary, our degradation.
